In a real shocker of a result, Sayantani Ghosh and Aneek Dhar have been eliminated this week from <em>Ek Se Badhkar Ek</em>. Our<em> khabroo</em> from the sets says, “Sayantani-Aneek and Abhishek-Meenal Jain were in the bottom two this time. Then there was play-off between Aneek and Abhishek to decide the winner. Both Aneek and Abhishek performed well. However, the judges found Abhishek’s performance better thus Aneek and Sayantani had to leave. For the second straight week Abhishek was on the verge of being eliminated and expectedly, he was thrilled to have survived again.”

<em> Comedy Circus</em>’ ‘comeback’ episode does offer the biggest return ticket with as many as four eliminated jodis making a comeback to the show. Juhi Parmar, Sayantani Ghosh, Rajesh Kumar, Sucheta Pawase and their respective comedian partners have cleared the litmus test but this hasn’t gone down too well with the three safe pairs Kamya Punjabi-Rajeev Thakur, Krushna-Sudesh Lahiri, Apara Mehta and Shailesh Lodha.

Not long ago, they were spitting fire against each other but Sayantani Ghosh and Kuldeep have called truce and decided to take part in the wild card episode of <em> Comedy Circus 2</em>. Sayantani and Kuldeep were disqualified after the latter failed to turn up in the fourth episode. Confirming this news Kuldeep says, “Yes, I have decided to come back for the wild card round. There were serious issues between us but we now have to look beyond them. I’ve learned that professionalism in this show differs to what one usually associates with a stand-up comedy show.”

For three weeks, they charmed both the judges and the viewers with their extremely funny acts, but never did one get an inkling of the tension prevailing between actress Sayantani Ghosh and her stand-up comedian partner Kuldeep Dubey. Sayantani was disqualified from <em> Comedy Circus 2</em> after her partner failed to turn up. A peeved Sayantani says, “Kuldeep failed to turn up, thereby we were disqualified. There weren’t any major tiffs but we did have few creative differences. It’s disappointing to go out like this especially after being praised for your earlier efforts.”

NDTV Imagine is all set to air its one day special episode wherein the viewers will see their much loved television actresses paying tribute to Bollywood beauties from Madhubala, Meena Kumari to Aishwarya Rai. Inside sources tell us that the producer is contemplating on three-four titles for the show and it will be hosted by Raju Srivastava.
