Sooraj Thapar

Kayamath's Sooraj Thapar has been a busy man off late, scuttling between rehearsals for his latest play The Perfect Wife, Kayamath sets and rushing back home to take care of his ailing mother. Sooraj has since then taken over the reins of the household. However it did not take much time for him to realise what a hard task he had on his hands.

These days our tellystars love to throw lavish b'day parties. Last two weeks, we've seen the likes of Nausheen Ali Sardar to Sandeep Rajora to Sooraj Thapar….. soak in a lot of masti on their birthdays'. But there are a few people, like apni ravishing Aamna Shariff, who prefer a private affair!

Sooraj Thapar who is still remembered because of Manish Goswami's Daraar is missing in action for quite some time. He was last seen in Jassi Jaisi koi nahi, in a role which was an exact replica of the character previously played by Rajesh Khera (Maddy) on the same show. The actor is currently doing a play with Poonam Dhillon called, The Perfect Husband and is getting good feedback for his performance.

If anyone has been missing the effeminate Maddy on Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, it's time to rejoice. This week, Sooraj Thapar (in a complete unrecognizable avatar - spiked blond hair, bleached cheeks et al) made his appearance as another fashion designer Charles. Thapar plays a high flying designer who steps into Jassi's new fashion house Karishma and offers to help her out. Says Deeya Singh, the producer of the show, "Charles is now a part of Jassi's new fashion house, Karishma. He basically didn't get a chance to prove himself with Gulmohar so Jassi gives him an opportunity."
