Special Chabbis

Ali Zafar of Chashme Buddoor and Yami Gautam from Vicky Donor will play a Pakistani boy and an Indian girl ready to break border barriers for love in A Film called Aman Ki Asha. Of course Ali plays Aman and Yami plays Asha. The film written by Neeraj Pandey is currently being directed by E Niwas under an air of supreme secrecy.

With him singing a song for his upcoming film Special Chabbis, Akshay Kumar has turned a singer. And in a gesture of sorts, he has dedicated the song to his wife Twinkle Khanna. The actor-producer sang the song '<em>Mujme Tu</em>...' in front of the media yesterday during the music launch of the film at a cinema hall in South Mumbai. Apparently, this is the same song for which he had rehearsed but, unfortunately, it was not used in the film. Incidentally, Akshay had reportedly sung a few lines of a song from his 2010 comedy <em>Khatta Meetha</em>.

Two of Akshay Kumar’s under-production capers seem to bear more than a passing resemblance to one another. Neeraj Pandey’s <em>Special Chabbis</em> (26) is about a daredevil daylight heist undertaken by a group of charlatans posing as government officers assigned to raid a jewellery shop in a busy area of Mumbai.
