Teen Bahuraaniyan

After NDTV Imagine, it’s Zee TV who is shuffling the serial pack. With a slew of new shows lined up for release, Zee TV is caught in the muddle of where to place them. Their woes escalated when Zee Next, its other Hindi GEC, reportedly is coming to a close. Thus shows which were supposed to come on Zee Next, are now tipped to air on Zee. Shreya Creations’ <em> Ranbir Aur Rano</em>, which was meant to be a Next property, will now air on Zee TV. In fact the promos of the show are on already on air.

Prashant Chawla who plays Mahesh Gheewala in Zee’s <em> Teen Bahuraaniyan</em> has quit the show and is now been replaced by Abhay Vakil. Prashant says, “I have got an offer to play a lead in one of the upcoming shows on Star Plus and as per the contract I can’t work on any other show or channel. Everything was sorted out amicably with the producers of the show and Zee. This was a better opportunity and so I grabbed it. I will be entering the show in the 10th episode.”

Manava Naik’s departure from Zee TV’s <em> Teen Bahuraaniyan</em> has opened the door for three actors. Stepping into the show are actors Shubhavi, Roopa Divetia and Soni Singh. Manjeet’s (Manava Naik) death left the show with only two <em> Bahuraaniyans,</em> which very much goes against the show’s title, thus a third<em> bahu </em> had to come in. However, there isn’t going to be an overnight marriage for the widower Mahesh.

Aman Verma was last seen on NDTV with <em> Say Shaava Shaava,</em> a reality entertainment show. After his elimination in the second episode he kept a low profile but now he is back with a bang on Zee’s <em>Teen Bahuraaniyan.</em> The actor is essaying the role of Smriti’s husband in the show. We tried calling Aman but he was too busy with a shoot therefore we called the creative head of the show. “We needed a good and a strong face to cast someone opposite Smriti and Aman has both these qualities,” says Tanu, Creative Head of Teen Bahuraaniyan.

Smriti Irani has stepped into new territory again. After appearing on Sony and 9X, the soap queen will now be making her debut on Zee TV. Smriti will be seen in <em> Teen Bahuraaniyan.</em> Speaking on her entry, Smriti says, "I am an avid viewer of Paresh Rawal's show. So when the role was offered, I jumped at it. This character has a lot of dimensions to it and is pivotal to the plot."

Simple Kaul, a choosy actor who was last seen in <em> Zaara - Pyar Ki Saugat,</em> has bagged a new show on Zee. She enters in <em>Teen Bahuraaniyan</em> as Nisha. Though having a girl next door image, she looking forward to portraying a negative character. "I'll be essaying the role of Nisha. It's a hardcore negative role which will bring a major twist in the tale. The reason for taking up this show was the director Swapna as she is my favorite and I had worked with her in my earlier show - Twinkle Beauty Parlor," says Simple with a smile.

Amrapali Gupta aka Bindiya is enjoying her stint in <em>Teen Bahuraaniyan</em> but is also wanting to experiment with other genres. The laadli bahu has already grabbed some interesting roles on SAB TV. "I have just signed on two new projects for SAB. One is a comic family drama and another a comic thriller. Both the offers are so good that I'm confused which one to take up," says Amrapali.
