

Television’s classic drama Chandrakanta is making a return on Colors .It will bringing fresh adaptations of the popular novel, which inspired the TV series of the same name in 1994. The show is produced by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Productions. The story is a romantic fantasy about two lovers who belong to rival kingdoms: the princess Chandrakanta of Vijaygarh, and the prince Virendra Singh of Naugarh. Krur Singh, a member of the Vijaygarh king's court dreams of marrying Chandrakanta and taking over the throne.
Giving an impetus to the blurring line between the big and small screens, new channel &TV has roped in filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia to lend his expertise to the first look of its ambitious offering "Begusarari". He says he's treated it like a film.
