5 Tips from writer Raghuveer Shekhawat to better your penmanship

Raghuveer Shekhawat is a name in the entertainment industry which every writer surely adores. The man has been penning down some of the best dialogues and scenes on small screen. After spending almost two decades in the industry the man has many hit shows in his kitty, like Balika Vadhu, Madhubala, Veera, Diya Aur Bati Hum, Tu Mera Hero, Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai and many more. In an exclusive chat with Tellychakkar.com the man gave us five special tips to become an ace writer. Take a look and note down. “Firstly for a writer, awareness is a must thing, unless you are aware of what is happening around you and your subject, that person will not be able to write anything meaningful. But, for that I don’t advise to read or consider much of literary work as that generally influences one way too much. So, just to keep your work original one should avoid reading or seeing others works much. Secondly, one should be a good listener as well as a good observer to write something good. If you don’t possess a keen observing quality then you will miss on many things which later on may be proved to be very important. Thirdly, expressing emotions at the right place is another important thing for an author. One can use thousand words for a scene and still will not be able to express it properly, while the other can use only hundred words to bring out the correct emotion. Fourthly, another fact which I believe whole heartedly is that one should have the sound knowledge of what not to write more than what to write. As, I believe that you can always attract viewers but, once you offend someone’s sentiment it’s very difficult to gain back the trust. Finally, most important tip for the new age writers is to negate the first thought. As, human beings we generally come up with the easiest ideas in the first thought. So, it is always better to develop any idea on the second go.” The talented penman also believes that the talent of writing is innate and if someone is blessed with the skill then only he or she can become a wordsmith. We are pretty sure that the valuable tips from this veteran creator will surely be of some use for the new talents.
