Producer Shrishti Arya is one talented lady. She is passionate and has been entertaining the masses for more than 20 years now. Her production house Rose Audio Visuals Pvt Ltd has come up with a new show Dekha Ek Khwaab which is all set to hit the airwaves on 21 November 2011 on Sony. In an interview with Tellychakkar.com, Shrishti talks about her new offering, film projects and personal life. Excerpts: Tell us something about your new show Dekha Ek Khwaab on Sony? This show is about a girl named Moniya, played by Priyal Gor. She stays at a chawl in Mumbai. Like any other girl, she has aspirations and ambitions. However, by a twist of fate, she becomes the princess of Raj Mata’s family. The story revolves around her life after becoming a princess. Viewers must expect a lot of twists and turns. What about the cast and crew of the show? Priyal Gor is playing Moniya’s character. I have seen her on TV earlier. She has soft, innocent and child-like expressions which makes her an apt choice for the role. Abhishek Rawat is also there who will play the character of a rich, loyal and ambitious man. He has a face that exudes decency and we thought he is the best one to pair opposite Priyal. Furthermore, I always wanted to cast Shahbaaz Khan, but things did not work out earlier. But this time around Shahbaaz gave a nod and he is playing an important role in the show. And of course, Aroona Irani is there. She is one lady with a royal face and lot of humbleness. She is perfect to play Raj Mata. Ashish Kapoor is also a part of the show and there are other minor characters as well. How did you come up with the concept of the show? The storywriter of the show is a lady named Vinita Koyolo who hails from Goa. She narrated the idea to us and we loved it. We pitched the concept to Sony TV and they also answered in affirmative. Everything fell into place by God’s grace. It’s been long since you produced any show after Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai in association with Goldie Behl. What is the reason behind such a long break? Nothing in specific. I was just waiting for a nice idea to work on. Dekha Ek Khwaab is different as it has no rona dhonas and it is all about dreams coming true. It’s a good show with light moments and you can enjoy it with your entire family. People can relate to it and they will enjoy it thoroughly. Tell us about your movie projects? Well, I am almost done with my current film projects. One is London Direct New York starring Aditi Rao. Next is I Me Aur Main starring John Abraham, Chitrangada Singh and Prachi Desai. But I can’t reveal anything else about both the movies at this point of time. Apart from work, how’s your personal life? Family life is good but it does get difficult to manage work and personal life at times. But gladly I belong to a family which has been associated with the entertainment industry, so they know the nature of it. I have a son who also loves watching television (smiles). But overall, I am glad to be a part of the entertainment industry. Are you working on any other project as well? No. Right now I am concentrating only on Dekha Ek Khwaab.
