We got in touch with this very producer for our ‘Behind the Lens segment. Excerpts: Tell us something about your production company? My company is called CK Arts and we recently made a short film titled Scapegoat. It has been to film festivals like Miami and Cannes. Wouldn’t you want to cast Amitabh Bachchan in your next venture? I would love to cast Amitji and Shah Rukh Khan and that would be my dream project. Tell us something about your favourite films? I love films of Hrishikesh Mukherjee as these films were made for the common man. They had realistic stories and Hrishida dealt with various human emotions in them. One film that you can watch over-and-over again? There are so many such films, but just one would be Scarface. One film that you would never want to make a remake of? I will never ever make a remake as I believe in my own creations. And when a film is already the best, why do you need to remake it. What would you like to have written on your gravestone? ‘My life was a true story’.
