Bhade (Bh Se Bhade) – This Zee TV show (Hats Off Productions) is a very interesting one where the lead Bhade has the magical powers to take someone’s sufferings by physically holding on to them. Even though the show is not a laughter riot but the character played by the talented Deven Bhojani indeed has a special appeal that brings an instant smile on your face and take away all your day long stress seeing his pleasing personality.

Biji/Eiji Pandey (Lapataganj) – The good looking and sophisticated Lucknowi nawab Abbas Khan has managed to impress the audience and critics with his rusty double character. As the twin brothers- one being a law student, the other a police officer, Abbas has done a tremendous job in this popular SAB TV show (Garima Productions).

Chandramukhi Chautala (FIR) – What can one say about this ferociously talented girl who has made the character of the Haryanvi Jatt police inspector mightier than her team of male associates. Kavita Kaushik has become synonyms to this SAB TV show (Edit II Productions) and Kavita has managed to do well only because of her superb acting talent.

Dadi/Juju (Comedy Nights/Jeannie Aur Juju) – Ali Asgar has been around for quite some time now and has proven his acting prowess with various characters over the years. And currently balancing two shows with very different characters, the actor is making people laugh with his comic timings. One show has him dressed up as the drunkard Dadi (Colors’ Comedy Nights with Kapil) and the other a cute pilot who has a genie besotted with him (SAB TV’s Jeannie Aur Juju).

Daya (Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah) – This SAB TV show (Neela Telefilms) has been entertaining viewers for more than five years now. Every character on this show has a special trait to make you roll on the floor laughing. And this woman, Daya, played by Disha Vakhani, wins the top post in the funny ladder. Her way of talking and doing a garba at the drop of a hat has people wanting for more.

Gadha Prasad/ Mendak Prasad (Chidya Ghar) – Jitu Shivhare and Manish Vishwakarma have been playing the perfect brothers in this SAB TV’s hilarious show (Garima Productions). Having characteristics like their name, the two churn out brilliant performances and are strong contenders for the title.

Gutthi (Comedy Nights…) – Aaah…this is one of the most talked about characters in recent times. Not just for the marvelous performance but also because of the controversy that tailed behind this character. Well, we won’t talk about that, but Sunil Grover has become a worldwide popular figure playing this ugly pigtailed girl, who was ever ready to hook with every male that came on the show. With not having her around anymore, the Colors’ show Comedy Nights with Kapil (K9 and Sol Productions) has definitely lost a bit of charm.

Indumati (Lapataganj) – This simpleton Indian woman is an asset to this show and Sucheta Khanna is doing a fabulous job in this SAB TV venture (Garima). A typical uneducated villager, her life revolves around her husband and children. Not being able to pronounce ‘sh’ properly, and always talking slowly, her vocabulary and mannerism draws peals of laughter from the audience.

Jeannie (Jeannie Aur Juju) – The pretty Giaa Maanek managed to entertain the audience with her bubbly and naughty avatar in this SAB TV show (Eagle Films). Trying to woo Juju and helping him in his troubled life, the pretty and vivacious Jeannie creates some confusing and funny situations instead. Currently being played by Rubina Dilaik, the charm of this character remains the same, although Giaa is missed dearly.

Jethalal (Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah) – Giving tough competition to her wife Dayaben, is Jethalal played by Dilip Joshi in this SAB TV show. The pairing and their impeccable comic timing is one of the best reasons why this show is doing so well. A mature man among a group of fools, Jethalal has a tough time handling his crazy family and neighbours.

Kapil Sharma playing himself (Comedy Nights with Kapil) – This man has become an epitome of comedy in India. Starting off as a standup comedian, Kapil has come a long way with having his own show in the popular GEC, Colors. Debuting as a producer with this project, Comedy Nights with Kapil, Kapil today has become a star and all because of his sheer talent. He is a born comedy king and he has a long way to go.

Meenakshi (Diya Aur Baati Hum) – Not many women have managed to feature on this list, and this woman gets the honour for her talent to be funny and evil at the same time. She not only brings in a comic relief in the show, but also creates havoc in the lives of her family. This Star Plus show (Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt Ltd) has pretty actor Kanica Maheshwari playing this character to the ‘T’.

Mukundilal/ Sugandhilal (Lapataganj) – Playing the father-son characters, Rohitashv Gaud is doing a wonderful job making you laugh on this SAB TV show. The father sparks fire and is ready to fight with anyone around, on the other hand, the son prefers to keep calm and is an honest government official. His relation with his wife where they answer each other as ‘Aji’ and ‘Oji’ is very cute.

Piddi (The Buddy Project) – The young and cute Piddi is a great friend of his buddies in the Channel V show (Sunshine Productions). Pratham is lovingly called Piddi by his friends because of his short and lanky feature. He may not have a way with girls like his friends, but he has a heart of gold and is antics makes not just his friends but also the audience smile.
