Are you like your mom? - TV celebs answer
It’s Mother’s Day today and we are sure all of you are enjoying pampering you moms on this special day. As soon as you are born, have you wondered you are always compared to your parents, be it looks or some special traits. It must have given all of you a harrowing time thinking who you are actually like. ‘Like father, like son’ or ‘like mother, like daughter’ or just the opposite, the comparison is always there. On Mother’s Day, Tellychakkar.com decided to catch up with some very popular actors and ask them the question… ‘Are you like your mom?’ Well, read on to find out what your favourite stars had to say on this. Meiyang Chang and mom Gaichen Chang- People say that I look very much like what my uncle (mama) used to look when he was young; so I guess appearance wise I have definitely got from my mother’s side. But yes, although I was a doctor I have a very good hand writing which I inherited from my mom. Also since both my parents have loads of beauty spots on their faces, I have got their combined spots on my face and neck (laughs). Roopal Tyagi and mom Poonam Tyagi- We guys are similar in a lot many ways. My mom has the OCD for cleanliness and it has come to me directly. I have also become a cleanliness freak like her. Also both of us have the same facial structure and thus look quite similar. Shaheer Sheikh and mom Dilshad Sheikh- Look wise there are some similarities but I am more like my dad by nature. And this Mother’s Day I really don’t know what I would gift her, but I know she would love to get a daughter-in-law as a gift (winks). Ishita Dutta and mom Shikha Dutta- We both are the organised types and like things to be in order. Also we both enjoy shopping and my mom is my best shopping partner. Earlier my mom used to scold me a lot for never listening to her but after my dad started travelling with my sister, we both started bonding well and I used to take her around in my scooty. We both love spending time with each other a lot. Nikkhil Chaddha and mom Neelam Bhatia- My mom being a single parent has brought me up in the most wonderful way. We both share a love-hate relationship for we fight a lot on small matters and make up soon after that (smiles). She loves talking and I am more of a quiet person, so she gets offended when I don’t give much time to her and listen to her talks. But we both bond over food and I really love her a lot. Vrushika Mehta and mom Sonal Mehta- It’s strange but me and my mom are completely different. On one side she is calm and composed and I am a hyper soul with short temper. I am also look like my dad with both of us having the same eyes. Gauahar Khan and mom Razia Khan- We both are extremely emotional and family oriented person. And not just our close family, but my extended family and their extended family (laughs). We both are also very impatient. And even though she thinks that I look like her, I keep teasing her that I look like my father. Mishkat Varma and mom Uma Varma- I have my mom to thank for my good looks. She is the most beautiful woman in the world and I am lucky to have inherited some of her beauty. I really love her a lot and am very close to her. Being a South Indian, who are said to be usually nice people, she is also very kind-hearted and I would like to believe that I have also got some goodness through her and evolved as a nice human being. Rubina Dilaik and mom Shakuntla Dilaik- I am a carbon copy of my mother with regards to looks. Also nature wise we are very similar. We are like volcanoes, have loads of patience but when it crosses level, and then our anger knows no bounds (laughs). Also the quality of giving more than expecting has been imbibed in me through her, although she has it more. Ruslaan Mumtaz and mom Anjana Mumtaz- I think I am the male version of my mother. I think I would have been a more successful actor if I would have been a girl, for I would be a complete copy of my mom (laughs). Whatever people like in me- my eyes and smiles is a replica of hers, I have a lot of her quality in me.
