We might criticize the over dramatized plot of our Hindi serials but we all love to see them. Don’t we? And the woman who has helped us to develop this habit is our soap queen Miss Ekta Kapoor.

She is one of the finest producers in the Indian television industry and her shows from the house of Balaji Telefilms have touched great heights of success.

But there is one thing we have observed which we want to share with our readers as well.

As we all have our staple diets, our lovely TV Czarina, Ekta Kapoor, has a staple profession for all her leads. Ekta’s every iconic leads have been business tycoons. From Mihir Virani to Sujal Garewal to more recently Manav Deshmukh to Raman Bhalla, all of them are some intelligent personalities who can crack the right deal.

Let us walk down the memory lane and let us remind you how Ekta Kapoor and her characters as business tycoon go hand in hand.

Remember when Ganga (Shilpa Agnihotri) and Nandini (Gauri Pradhan Tejwani) made a comeback in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi? As far as we remember initially Ganga was a teacher and Nandini was a journalist. But, we guess teaching and journalism are not very respectable profession to make a dignified come back. Our bad!!!

And her connection with business profession does not end here. Even if her lead was a mechanic (Manav in Pavitra Rishta) in his early days, later on he turned into one of the biggies in the league of NRI businessmen. How inspiring for strugglers!!! So, all of you who have never topped any examination like us don’t be disappointed as you still have the chance of becoming the top businessman. Cheers!!!

But, if you think that business is the only profession that fascinates Ekta then you are wrong. There is another profession which easily captures Ekta’s attention… is singers.

Oh yes, from rock stars to melodious singers, she loves to promote the profession. Perhaps it is the only profession for her famous leads when they are not a businessman.

Remember Robbie of Kasturi? The cool and funky Karan Patel with a guitar in hand performing in live concerts. And before that Iqbal Khan donned a rock star look in Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai, while Neha Bamb played the role of a singer. Even the leads of the most romantic show ever from Balaji’s kitty, Kitani Mohobbat Hai, was associated with the singing profession.

More recently, we are smitten by Abhi’s (Shabbir Ahluwalia) in rock star image in Kumkum Bhagya. Mind you!! Though not many will remember, even our cute Jennifer Winget once played the role of an aspiring star singer.

We believe that with Ekta’s blessing these two professions will surely become the top most glamorous professions in the coming years. But, on a second thought the way Ekta’s affection is changing its direction towards medical career with Dr. Ishita Bhalla (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein) and Dr. Nachiket Khanna and Ragini Khanna (Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar), we are pretty sure that in coming years medical profession will also become one of the coolest ever.

And we hope that apart from these three professions, others too find their way to Ekta’s heart, especially journalism. (wink wink)
