Infidelity raises substantial questions. Everybody is aware of the fact that one step towards this vicious circle can destroy the primary relationship, but still some people go ahead with it… But why? 

Tellychakkar.com caught up with few Bengali actors of Television to know about their opinion on infidelity. We also asked them how they would react if their partners cheated on them and would they ever give a second chance to their partners. Take a look:

Mallika Ghosh: 
Some people indulge in infidelity because of their nature. It’s not a big deal for them. There are others who enter into infidelity because of lack of emotional satisfaction in their relationships. It’s natural for a person to expect care from her/his partner but if he/she is not getting it, the person starts seeking it somewhere else. If my partner cheats on me, I will leave him there and then. But if I am married and have a kid, my step would be different. Divorce is a difficult method. The kids are the main sufferers of such consequences. So, I will continue the relationship because of my child and the social bindings but will never forgive him.  

Debottam Majumder:
I think people indulge in infidelity probably when wavelength ceases to match. If I am cheated upon, I will be furious but then will definitely try to find out why they chose someone over me. And if at all she asks for a second chance...yes, I will give her.  

Nayana Palit: 
I guess when someone has commitment issues or is not happy with the partner, he/she indulges in infidelity. If my partner ever cheats on me, I will lose faith and would never be able to trust another human being. I will never be able to give a second chance because I can never forget or forgive.

Sweta Bhattacharya: 
I think too much possessiveness in a relationship leads to such disastrous consequence. I also feel that there is a problem with a particular section of our generation who are more into the physical thing. They desire for additional sexual encounters so do not think twice before cheating on their partners. I have been in a relationship for the past three years and I cannot imagine my life without him. I trust him a lot. If he ever cheats on me...I think I will give him a second chance no matter how bad I feel because I am very emotional.  

Pratyush Banerjee: 
I have given a second chance many a times. I think I will react as per the gravity of the act committed by my partner. If my partner has not done anything extreme, I will forgive her. I believe life is all about second chances. I also believe that before jumping to a conclusion one should try to know why and where things went wrong.
