#HBDShahRukhKhan: TV stars and their love for SRK

Popular TV actors choose their favourite SRK movies and share their emotions towards the man

He’s a phenomenon. He’s the reason many made it big in Bollywood. He’s the undisputed king of Bollywood. If these hints aren’t enough, let us tell you that he was born this day…yes, we are talking about Shah Rukh Khan who makes even the mundane romantic with his sexy smile, goofy antics, and charismatic personality. While you’ve heard a lot of praise for him from us, it’s time to ask TV stars to pick their favorite SRK flick…read on:

Karan Patel: He is the man I worship and I have no words to describe my thoughts about him. All I can say is that he is the only superstar who has managed to make one of his songs into reality- Chaand Tare Tod Laau. The entire universe is his and I wish him a happy birthday and a long successful life ahead.

Mohsin Khan: Shah Rukh Khan has an extremely powerful personality. I love his movie Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. In the film, SRK is a charmer; his innocence, spark, energy, the carefree boyish nature is too mesmerizing. Also, after watching him in the film, I tried to play the mouth organ but failed (laughs). ‘Fauji’, although not a film, is my favourite TV series.

My chotu brother turns 21 today. He shares his birthday with the legend and I was born on the day of his marriage. So I am never going to forget both those days. I truly believe that I have a special connect with him. When I see news reports and segments, where they call me TV ka SRK, I feel proud to have achieved that.

Deepika Singh: More than an actor, I take Shah Rukh as an inspiration. I love his movie Chakde India. Though he is known to be a romantic star, I think his movies can be really inspiring to everyone. When I entered the industry, people spoke about how he thinks about work all the time. I kind of used the same in my life and dedicated each second to my work. If I have achieved something in life, apart from my parents, it’s SRK who has given me strength. I really wish him a great birthday and hope he keeps inspiring us forever.

Gaurav S Bajaj I love Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Veer Zara. I have grown up on his films. So the childhood memories are always fresh, so is SRK. He’s the definition of ‘Super Millennium Star’.

Aneri Vajani I love Dil Toh Pagal Hai because what a crazy story that was! The way he romances his heroines, nobody can.

Viraf Phiroz Patel My favorite SRK movie is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge because he and Aditya Chopra gave romance a new meaning. The hero offends, charms, falls in love, serenades, fights for his Dulhania . Iconic stuff. I loved Fan for what the actor did in there!

Devoleena Bhattacharjee The dialogue from Mohabbatein will forever remain my favorite, apart from the movies Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. I had also shot with him once and it was one of the best experiences of my life.

Rohan Gandotra Veer Zara is my favorite Shah Rukh movie. Being a Delhi-ite and having a dimple too, people sometimes compare me to him. I have immense respect for him as he is not only a great actor, but also a superb businessman, a witty speaker with a sharp mind, a family person and one who is grounded.

Happy Birthday King Khan!
