Life lessons from Maharana Pratap - the character

Ssharad Malhotra

One of the most valiant and brave warriors to make history was arguably Maharana Pratap of Rajasthan. His glorious reign of over twenty five years saw many progresses in the nation. And Sony Entertainment Television's Bharat Ka Veer Putra...Maharana Pratap has showcased his life beautifully, with Ssharad Malhotra playing the leads.

Apart from the fact that he ruled his kingdom with an iron grip, he was also a walking lesson on morals and virtues. We trace out the life lessons you can pick up from the great statesmen…read on:

Strategizing is everything:

He single-handedly strategized battle theories to ward off the Mughals. Even though most of the battles with the Mughals resulted in stalemates, it was Maharana’s quick thinking and natural instinct that gave the Rajputs the hold over their territory.

Love conquers everything:

The mighty rules may have had eleven wives, but his absolute favourite and the only one he loved unconditionally was his first wife, Mahrani Ajabde. She stuck with him through the ups and downs. While his other wives were political alliances, Ajabde was the one who helped Rana wade through the mess of wars and fights. If a ruler can fall back on love to soothe him, can’t we all take a cue from him as well?

Righteous:

Another important lesson we can learn from him is the art of righteousness. With a huge kingdom to look after and many a ministers to satisfy, Rana didn’t let his personal opinions override his sense of justice. If that doesn’t make him a great ruler, we wonder what will!

Skilled and confident:

His confidence was a reflection of his skills. He was unafraid, bold, and feisty. He was also skilled in warfare, which gave him an edge over other rulers because Rana could make his own war strategies like a pro. It’s important to ace at least one skill in life because Jack of all trades is passé.

Don't you think he is a true hero? If yes, then share your thoughts in the comment box below.
