The Year That Was: TV stars share their 2013 experience
A few more hours when 2013 will be a year of the past, we will welcome 2014 with open arms. When we go on a flashback mode, there would be many moments that will make us smile, laugh and cry too. Well, such is life. Now, let’s talk to your favourite TV actors and ask them what all good and bad happened to them in 2013 and what their wish-list is for 2014. A lowdown: Kunal Karan Kapoor: The year 2013 was exceptionally wonderful. The best thing that happened to me was when I won the best actor award at the Indian Telly Awards. Another landmark was that this year I also bought a new car. Besides, it was truly amazing to see my birthday trending on Twitter. There was also a sad part and that was the ending of Na Bole…. Now, coming to the wishes. Being a travel junkie I want to explore more and more places in the coming year. My dream is to visit Iceland, Africa and Maasai Mara. I also want to play different roles on-screen. Kratika Sengar: 2013 was one of the best years for me till now. There were many good things that happened in this year. I bought a new house which was my long time wish. But the sad part was the coming to an end of Punar Vivah but I believe in destiny. Hoping to make a comeback on-screen by next year. I wish that 2014 will be a happier year. Manish Raisinghani: Some people had predicted that the world would end in 2012 and look we are about to enter 2014. For me, 2013 has been really amazing professionally and personally. Besides acting, Avika (Gor) and I got into filmmaking. In short, both of us are the new Abbas Mustan of the industry, going by the first alphabets of our respective names (A for Avika and M for Manish). Next year I want to spend some time with my family and also become an expert dancer. Yashashri Masurkar: Well, work wise, I didn’t do much this year, so I term 2013 an average year. The good part was that I traveled a lot this year. I adopted a new pet, a kitten named Magic. And the sad part was that I took all the wrong projects. But in the next year I wish to be very good and hope 2014 brings lot of happiness in my life. Kanchi Kaul: 2013 year was amazingly good. I did a show like Meri Bhabhi, enjoyed my married life with Shabbir and still enjoying. I don’t think there was any bad thing that happened to me. I welcome 2014 with open arms and wish to travel and explore myself. Jay Soni: The best thing that happened to me in 2013 was that I met my better half Pooja Shah with whom I got engaged to. On the whole, the year was hectic but I enjoyed it. I look forward to 2014 when I will work harder, get married and also go on a honeymoon. Kashmira Shah: I didn’t do much in 2013 but hope to do a couple of item numbers and also some good films in 2014. Like that I have few projects in my kitty that I hope would materialize. The most awaiting moment is when I get married to Krushna (Abhishek) in 2014. Karanvir Bohra: 2013 was exceptionally mind-blowing. I am pretty happy that my first Punjabi film got a huge response from the masses. This year I did a daily soap and Jhalak… where I got to learn different dance forms. Next year, I want to experiment with my look and want to play roles which are larger than life.
