TV celebs and their Navratri celebrations

Happy Navratri!!

There's so much excitement during Navratri that it's difficult to stay away, especially when the dandiya celebrations take place. It is all about merry-making, dancing, relishing food and being with family.

Be it recalling their most vibrant childhood memory of dandiya nights or the grand celebrations, TV celebs share their Navratri plans and special memories related to the festivity.

Divyanka Tripathi

When they say, it is Navratri. I say, it's a festival of saluting womanhood. Happy Navratri to the omnipotent  Maa Durgas in every household.

Vivian Dsena: I get more spiritual during Navratri. But that doesn’t mean I don’t freak out! I have sweet memories of dancing the night away with my friends. This year, if I am not busy, I will be heading out with my friends. Or maybe I may just judge an event! So yes, nothing fixed for now.

Shubhangi Atre: My maasi lives in Rajkot so once we visited her during Navaratri when I was a teenager. And I still remember that experience as we used to play dandiya till 3 am in the morning. I love all the traditional festivals that we celebrate and Navratri is one my favourites.

Samridh Bawa: You won’t believe I have never celebrated Navratri and garba as I don’t know how to dance (laughs). For me, it is the time to rejoice and eat veg food.

Jasmin Bhasin: I have some amazing memories of Navratri. I remember we used to organise Dandia in school. I would literally wait for the festival! This time, I am going to be in Mumbai as I am busy with work. But I’ll try to go out, if work permits!

Akshay Dogra: I absolutely enjoy the food that is prepared during Navratri. It is my son's first Navratri, it will be interesting to see how the little one reacts to all of it. I have visited Gujarat during Navratri and the energy is unbelievable. I like Kai Po Che song, Shubhaarambh, it has the right tempo and energy.

Rashami Desai: I just love this festival. There’s so much happiness all around. I remember having a blast during Navratri all through school and college. If I am not caught up with work, I plan to check out a Falguni Pathak show.

Prince Narula: I have visited Gujarat last year and I loved the ambience and the way they celebrate Navratri. I love playing dandiya and I hope this year I get a day off from shoot.

Happy Navratri guys!!!
