The world is celebrating Mahashivratri today (7 March), the auspicious occasion of the marriage of Lord Shiva and Parvati.

This day is said to be the favourite one for Lord Shiva, and here we got your favourite celebs talk about Mahashivratri and their believe in God.                                                                                                                                                                           

Arjun Bijlani: Although I do not fast, but I am a complete Shiv devotee. I will be busy with shoot but would take time to go to the temple. I believe one should trust God with full heart; he knows what is best for you. I am religious by nature and do pooja daily and don’t leave home without my morning pooja.

Shashank Vyas: I am from Ujjain, the city of Mahakal. Mahashivratri is very important to me and I also fast on the day. I feel lot of peace on mahashivratri. I would go to a Shiv temple too.

Shivin Narang: My name is Shivin and I am a complete Shiv bhakt. I don’t fast but my mother does. I am in Delhi and would be going to Shiv temple and follow the rituals which my mother would want me to do. I believe God takes care of people who follow their heart.

Rashami Desai: I believe in Lord Shiva as he is our kuldevta. I don’t leave my house without offering my morning pooja. I believe all negativities are destroyed by faith in God. He enables human beings to sail through all kind of situations with perfect ease.

Mrunal Jain: I am a religious person by nature. I have inherited my faith from my mother Vidhya.  I don’t fast but I go to temple daily being a Jain. I am very proud of my religion and follow the rituals strictly. I believe in surrendering to God; he will show us the right path.

Ssharad Malhotra: I believe God is omnipotent. I am a Shiv bhakt and intend to go to Shiv temple today. My mother has taught me how powerful God is and he is always there for his children. I am religious person and believe in the purity of heart. I am shooting for my new show Kasam and am sure Lord Shiva blessings are with me.

Ajay Chaudhary: I am a religious person by nature. I believe God doesn't have an answering machine, he takes each call personally. I am very particular about my daily pooja. I intend to go to Shiv temple in my area and offer my prayers today on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.

Tina Datta: I fast since I was a child. I am a great believer of Shivji. Kehte hay shivji sab problems door karte hai, bhakti mein shakti hai. I am a religious person and believe in God.
