Guess whose busy doing the rounds of the gym after Delnazz Paul and Ram Kapoor... Well it's our CID girl Mansi Verma who might not have any work on her plate as of now but the actor is frantically trying to shed a few pounds here and there. "I have put on weight and I need to look my age as I have started looking very matured. I was busy doing dailies so I just couldn't concentrate on my health. I religiously work out at the gym for 50 minutes and junk food is a strict no-no, only home made food for me. Also I've cut down on carbs," says the twenty-one year old actor who sweats it out at Nautilus (gym in suburban Mumbai). Here's hoping that Manasi soon looses a few pounds than loose out on good roles! Joy's joyful these days! We last saw him in Bhabhi on Star Plus, and that too in 2001! And now after a long hiatus, actor Joy Sen Gupta has taken up Balaji's prime time show, Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka (Star One). This is Joy's maiden opportunity of working with the powerhouse, Balaji Productions. He will be essaying the character of Ashutosh in Kya Hoga …. "Balaji is the best paymaster and their production values are on par with a film. They are very professional and fast paced," says Joy. "I have been avoiding daily soaps for quite some time, but for a change I took up this offer," he adds. He has also done a cameo in showman Subhash Ghai's upcoming film, Good Boy Bad Boy and is also busy with a play, Sammy. Aasma se acting tak! Neeti Mohan of Aasma fame is one heluva versatile lady! She's not only a trained singer but a trained contemporary dancer (read Jazz,Ballet and Bharatnatyam) as well and is readying to become an actor. Neeti is taking acting classes from Anupam Kher's acting institute called The Actor Prepares (in Juhu, suburban Mumbai) along with her kid sister Mukti Mohan. "It's a three month course and I am just finishing off my course which is pretty demanding and takes up 13 hours of my day. Making time for anything else is difficult for me, so I am focusing on learning for now and will soon stage a play in the institute at the end of the course," says twenty six year old Neeti who has been a dance teacher in Delhi in the past. She has also co-hosted Super Sale with Sajid Khan on Star One. Neeti got her acting keeda while in school and college. And now she aims to be a complete performer besides doing a musical play in the near future. Kudos....to the young lady! Lost and found! Remember Shilpa Kadam... The gorgeous Dr Simran in Sanjeevani who was discreetly replaced by Rupali Ganguli in the show and was seen in Naam Gum Jayega for a short while and is nowhere to be seen ever since. The actor has recently completed an ad film for Sunfeast biscuits with none other than King Khan (Shahkrukh) which was shot by ace choreographer Farah Khan. "I had a great time shooting with Shahrukh and Farah and I am excited about the ad film as it's turned out really well and we are looking brilliant. Bagging this ad was beyond my expectations," smiles the lovely lady who was a model before venturing into television shows. And this is not all, Shilpa is going places. She has also shot for a Fem and a Brooke Bond ad, apart from signing on a contract with Sahara One as she is the promotional face for the channel.
