It's raining birthdays! After Sandeep Rajora and Riva Bubber, it's aapna Gourav Chanana of Rishton Ki Dorr fame who turned a year older on 15 July. Instead of hosting a plush bash for his friends, this light eyed actor chose the hills. Yes, the venue in question was not Mumbai but Matheran where he ganged up with select friends. "I have turned 28 and I chose to chill out with my friends in Matheran as it was a welcome break from the hectic Mumbai life. The mobile network there was sad, so I couldn't get through people calling me, but I got many wishes via sms", says Gourav. We wish him a belated happy birthday and hope that all his wishes come true…..and also hope that his single status changes till his next birthday! But there are a few people, like apni ravishing Aamna Shariff, who prefer a private affair! This pretty actress of Kahiin To Hoga fame turned 28 this year on 16 July. But she chose to stay back at home and kept it a low key celebration on 15 July. Giving her company were her parents, a few relatives and no prizes for guessing….her ex co-star Rajeev Khandelwal! This so called 'good friend' presented the ravishing birthday girl an exquisite bouquet! Rajeev surely knows the sure shot way to a girl's heart! What we would like to know from Aamna is what else did she receive from Rajeev ….besides flowers? Fighting fit! Guess whose busy doing the rounds of the gym after Delnazz Paul and Ram Kapoor... "I have put on weight and I need to look my age as I have started looking very matured. I was busy doing dailies so I just couldn't concentrate on my health. I religiously work out at the gym for 50 minutes and junk food is a strict no-no, only home made food for me. Also I've cut down on carbs," says the twenty-one year old actor who sweats it out at Nautilus (gym in suburban Mumbai). And now after a long hiatus, actor Joy Sen Gupta has taken up Balaji's prime time show, Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka (Star One). This is Joy's maiden opportunity of working with the powerhouse, Balaji Productions. He will be essaying the character of Ashutosh in Kya Hoga …. "Balaji is the best paymaster and their production values are on par with a film. They are very professional and fast paced," says Joy. "I have been avoiding daily soaps for quite some time, but for a change I took up this offer," he adds. He has also done a cameo in showman Subhash Ghai's upcoming film, Good Boy Bad Boy and is also busy with a play, Sammy.
