Not only is Sonu Niigaam a great singer but he comes across as one with an impish sense of humour. The witty Sonu tends to have everyone in splits with his witty and sarcastic remarks. Be it as the host of Sa Re Ga Ma or a judge on Indian Idol and now L'il Champs, it's been Sonu who's kept the humour quotient alive. At times, he would even mock at his co-judges on Indian Idol and L'il Champs. However, all of it was done in good taste.For someone blessed with such sense of humour, it's only natural that he/she would laugh at oneself. However, Sonu is a surprise exception. In a special L'il Champs episode, that is dedicatedly entirely to him, Sonu turned down the proposal; to have his friends spill the beans on his life during college. An insider reveals "His friends were keen on revealing about his juicy tales during college days but Sonu disapproved of this idea. He stated that he didn't want the media to know about his antics in college." This episode will be telecasted this Friday. Well, after this we can only speculate as to whether such antics are that embarrassing for it to be kept a secret. However, one can presume that Sonu Niigaam is not game for laughing at oneself. No pain no gain Sharad Kelkar aka Naher of Saat Phere has planned to visit Goa with wife Kirti despite a painful leg. Recently, Sharad met with an accident and fractured his leg. "I promised my wife that we will celebrate this New Year in Goa. So what if I'm not able to dance, I'll sit on the beach and enjoy my evening. Laloo Prasad to appear on 'Lead India' And as the Lead India campaign On Star One intensifies, Mumbai’s Ujjwal Bannerjee won the last round. The judges were Javed Akhtar, Kiran Bedi and Vikas Singh. As the contestants gear up for the next rounds, an inside source tells us that Ujjwal is poised for a win in the next round as well. And judging him in the next round is none other than India’s top politician, Laloo Prasad Yadav. When the wall came crashing down on Faisal For Faisal Raza the first day of shooting for a serial could have been disastrous. The actor had the wall coming down on him and hurting his back. Whilst shooting for Zee's Parrivaar, Faisal was enacting a scene in the kitchen when the artificial wall collapsed and all the crockery fell on him." It was the first day of my shoot. We were shooting in the kitchen and we had placed this artificial wall, which wasn't attached to anything. I had my back to the wall thus I didn't' realise when it collapsed. Fortunately, my assistant director Manish jumped to my rescue .He somehow held the wall and only the crockery fell on me. I hurt my back and the shooting was stalled for two hours." An injury on the first day of your shoot; isn’t it a bad omen? Faisal replies, "Not at all. In fact, when I told this to my mom she said breaking of glass is a good sign. So, from hereon, it will only get better for me. I'm glad that it occurred three days before my birthday - 23rdDecember." So here’s wishing the optimistic Faisal a belated happy birthday. Guess what’s Cyrus & Kunal’s weakness? There is one thing that good friends Cyrus Broacha and Kunal Vijaykar simply can't resist. And that is food. At the press conference of his new show Champion Chaalbaaz, Cyrus was busy chatting with the media when good friend Kunal who was also present called out to Cyrus saying that the food was ready. It is reported that Vinod Khanna and his gang which includes Amit Jain and Sid Makkar have found a ‘naughty’ way to have fun and masti on the sets. The actors share ‘naughty’ text messages with each other. Whenever any of them receives a ‘naughty’ SMS, they forward it to the other two members of the gang and have a hearty laugh. Wow this is some male bonding. Karan and Amita evicted from Nach baliye: The latest jodi to get evicted from Star Plus' dance based reality show Nach Baliye-3 is that of Karan Patel and Amita Chandekar. The episode will be aired this weekend. Now there will be just three jodis Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek Awasthi, Kashmira Shah and Krushna and Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda competing with each other in the next week to enter the grand finale. The Karan-Amita jodi was amongst the final four couples and is now getting evicted because of low audience votes. No, she didn’t have any problem with her co-stars or Ekta but she was left seething over an uncomfortable costume. Swarna was seen barging out of her room and lashing out at a crew member. When asked what let to this fit of rage, she explained, “The suit that I was wearing earlier had a very small neck. As I couldn’t get my head in it I had to change out of it. Hence my make-up and hair also went for a toss. I was then required to do it all over again. I wish they were a little more organized and told me exactly which outfit I was supposed to be wearing.” Oh Swarna, take a chill pill. With her reality show ‘Aaja Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan’ already on the floors Saroj Khan has her hands full. The show which will be aired on NDTV Imagine will hit screens this January. And as Saroj runs against time to beat deadlines there comes a hurdle in the form of a mishap. During one of the shoots Saroj twisted her ankle. A source from the sets reveals, “Day before yesterday while shooting for the show Saroji sprained her ankle. All the people on the sets got tense but Saroji went ahead and continued the shoot.” It just takes a veteran like Saroj Khan to understand what it means when they say, the show must go on. Are Kanchi and Vishal just friends? Out of action for eight months, it’s been a happy return for Kanchi Kaul. Not only have the viewers accepted her as the new Suhana of Bhabhi, the Punjabi girl has found a great companion in co-actor Vishal Singh. In his first year on the show, Aditya was always surrounded by gorgeous girls both on and off stage. The 19-year-old was even linked with Sa Re… Challenge 2007 contestant Mauli Dave. A little birdie informs us, "While he's enjoying his time out with the little kids, Aditya is missing female attention. Last Friday, Mauli Dave visited the sets but Aditya didn't speak to her. They just exchanged pleasantries and only spoke to her during the shoot. Apart from that they didn't look each other in the eye." Aditya longs for female company say insiders. Is Gajendrra Singh listening? Rakhi and Abhishek exit Nach Baliye?: As per inside sources Rakhi Sawant and her boyfriend Abhishek Awasthi are evicted from Nach Baliye 2 that airs on Star Plus. The couple always received accolades from all the three judges Issha Koppikar, David Dhawan and Vaibhavi Merchant. In fact last week Rakhi received some great comments from the dancing diva Madhuri Dixit herself. With the exit of the chirpy Rakhi and talented Abhishek what remains to be seen is whether the TRP of the show will now take a dip. Sara’s chilling demand: Sara Khan who debuted on television with Bidaai on Star Plus has now started to make demands. The young and bubbly Sara gets very childish on the sets very often. Recently, Sara and Parul, the leading ladies of the show had to shoot till late in the night to complete the episode. Where Parul agreed to the shoot, Sara put forward a condition. She said, “I’ll shoot till late only if I get to have an ice cream!” Director Ranjan Shahi had no other option but to agree and fulfill her demand. In fact Shahi threw an ice-cream party for all the members of the unit. And the atmosphere on the sets was chilling! Why Qazir never needed a Qazi: One has always been taken by surprise by the single status of veteran film and TV actor Deepak Qazir. Despite working alongside some of the prettiest ladies, it's all the more hard to believe that Deepak has remained a bachelor. When questioned on his bachelorhood, the actor replies, "Despite not being married, I have no regrets in life. Most of my friends are females. There's no particular reason why I didn't get married. Perhaps, if ever I was at any fault, then it would have to do with my once-upon-a-time cynical attitude. May be that drove away girls from marrying me." While age is no bar for marriage, the actor has ruled out any such possibility in future. Interestingly, he was later posed a query, 'If you were to be reincarnated, would you like to return as the same man?' He replied, "To be honest, if I were to get a second life, then I would like to be a woman. The only reason for that being is that I'd like to experience certain things which only a woman can experience."
