Shoma Anand, who's currently come back to the small screen as Anand Mathur's second wife in Zee's weekender Hum Paanch, is set to go to Dubai for her play Hungama Ho Jaye! The actress will leave for Dubai on 6 December. The play also stars Ravi Gosain, Raju Kher abd Ketan Trivedi. Shoma also plays Shanno's mother in Star Plus' Shanno Ki Shaadi, which is going bi-weekly soon. Shoma's sure got so'much on her plate! Kohinoor on the sets of Special Squad? Well, this is what too much TV does to you! You start recognising the sets of the shows so well, that when the same is used for different shows, you are quick to spot it! This happened to us when we spotted Ankur Nayyar in a mock bank in Kohinoor that looked uncannily similar to Special Squad's office. What's surprising is that there was no effort on the set designer's part to make changes in the SS set. Aryan's cabin in SS has been turned into the bank manager's office and the door to his cabin that had a hand painted on it, has been left untouched! It's fortunate that SS has gone off-air! What's surprising is that both the shows have nothing in common with each other except the fact that they had a common leading lady - Kuljeet Randhwa. Kitu takes it easy Kasshish is soon to end...so where does that leave the 'other woman' on the Ravi Rai show? Kitu Gidwani says she plans to take some time off for herself for the next two months. " I have been offered plum roles by Neerja Guleri, Sunil Agnihotri and the CID producers. But for now I am doing a couple of television ads and one episode of Darna Mana Hai for Star One," says the elegant lady. Of the three projects she has been offered, she says she is interested in just one. Which one?? She won't tell till December, she says. Stay glued to this space for more... Because we care! Most TV actors are busy making appearances during this part of the year and most are busy doing their Diwali shoping. But there are a few actors who are willing to take out time to support a noble cause. Mauli Ganguly, Anuj Saxena and Swetta Keswani turned up at the Tata Memorial hospital and spoke to patients and distributed gifts on 28 October. All the actors had sensitive moments and were very happy that they had managed to make these peolple smile. Sakshi Tanwar couldn't make it because she was going to Alwar, and Shweta Tiwari gave it a miss due to her trip to Chandigarh. Varun and Rajeshwari too couldn't make it because of their commitment to Nach Baliye. But the three who made it to the hospital sure made a difference in the lives of the patients there! Rajeev off to Jaipur! It's a time to celebrate for Rajeev Khandelwal! First came the MTV Lycra Awards, where he won the most stylish male in television award, and now, he's been signed on as ACP in Sony's long running show, CID. The icing on the cake is that the actor is going to Jaipur during Diwali to meet up with friends and family. "It's been a long time since I have been there and I am going to meet my new bhabhi (his younger brother just got married). Since, my father just got out of hospital, I am looking forward to seeing him again!" says Rajeev, who can't wait to reach Jaipur. Is Sooraj Thapar the new Maddy in Jassi…? If anyone has been missing the effeminate Maddy on Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, it's time to rejoice. This week, Sooraj Thapar (in a complete unrecognizable avatar - spiked blond hair, bleached cheeks et al) made his appearance as another fashion designer Charles. Thapar plays a high flying designer who steps into Jassi's new fashion house Karishma and offers to help her out. Says Deeya Singh, the producer of the show, "Charles is now a part of Jassi's new fashion house, Karishma. He basically didn't get a chance to prove himself with Gulmohar so Jassi gives him an opportunity." We have to be pardoned if Charles reminds you of Rajesh Khera who played the typical designer Maddy for Gulmohar. If Charles is in, what about Maddy? "I have no clue as to what is happening, I don't know anything," says Rajesh who is currently in London. Shilpa's teething problems Nach Baliye definitely ain't a cakewalk for its contestants, if what we have heard is true. Among the pairs who have had the going tough are Apurva Agnihotri and Shilpa Saklani. In the episode to be aired tonight, Shilpa apparently slipped and fell on her face during the duo's performance, dislodging two of her front teeth. Audiences mistook the 'blackened' look of her grin as part of a 'comedy' gimmick, comedy being the theme of the evening. But Shilpa was apparently in tears at the end of the performance. But the judges gamely ignored the incident, and whether it was sympathy or sheer dancing prowess, we do not know, but the couple scored a 9 -9 - 9 with the judges! Delnaz down with asthma! Nach Baliye seems to be taking a toll on the health of contestants! First, it was Mihir Misra, who hurt his back while practising for the show, now, it's Delnaz and Rajiv, who are suffering from varied ailments. Delnaz Paul was taken to Sanghvi hospital by her hubby, Rajiv as she suffered severe asthma attacks and stomach ache. Rajiv, too is not keeping well, with his knees giving him trouble! The doctors have told him to rest completely for three weeks, but his Nach Baliye commitments does not allow him to do so. Amit Sadh, who was recently in bed with high fever, had to forego his rehearsals to get back in shape. Shilpa Sakhlani too was tired juggling her different shoots! Sources tell us that the left footed couples were involved in some accidents on the stage as well! To add to their woes, there was a costume problem recently, something that Sachin takes in his stride --"Women will always have problems with costumes, anywhere, anytime," laughs Sachin. And this is not all, following the leak of the couple voted out last week, put the entire team off. "What was done was wrong! The curiosity of the audience was mislaid when the news was out. We immediately had a meeting regarding this issue, so that it does not happen again in the future," says Rajiv. Heavy rehearsals, packed with many goof ups and all sorts of painstaking incidents is now what Nach Baliye is all about! However, the curiosity, excitement and spirit is still alive in the Nach Baliye couples -- their determination and hunger for victory, have added that extra spice to the show! Soniya Kapoor in a music video Every character in Star One's Remix is excited about the new time slot being given to the show from this week. It allows them more time to indulge their other creative pursuits. Soniya Ray aka Soniya Kapoor has signed a music video and we caught her on the first day of the shoot on Monday. "I am here shooting for the video with Sarabjeet, who is a very famous singer from Punjab. And yes, I am happy about it. This video stresses on a family scene wherein I play the bahu, and will be singing around the house." The setting is somewhat like Hum Aapke Ke Hain Koun. Alright!
