We had earlier reported that Vikrant has been dating a ‘non-industry’ girl for seven years and also had plans of getting engaged to her. However, he liked keeping his personal life personal and refrained talking about it to the media. “I don’t want unnecessary rumour to affect our relationship,” said the actor back then which was indeed thoughtful. But as Time trickles, things change. The latest we have learnt is that Vikrant has broken up with his ‘non-industry girlfriend’ and has hooked up with a new lady love. Well well…who is she? None other than his co star from The Serial (Channel V), newbie Swati Semwal. “The duo recently went on a cosy vacation to Lonavla. Vikram has even posted pictures of the trip (more of Swati’s close ups) on his Facebook page,” said a source. Another source added, “Vikrant called off his relationship with his girlfriend of seven years a while ago. And, he is very much dating Swati.” Good good… So what about Vikrant’s version? Let’s hear it: “No, I am not dating Swati but we are very good friends.” Which means you’re still dating your girlfriend of seven years? “Yes, I am very much in love with her.” Tell us something about the Lonavla trip? “It was not just me and Swati we were out with a bunch of seven –eight friends.” Did your girlfriend join in? “No she did not.” This is indeed interesting the actor goes out to Lonavla with ‘good friend’ Swati but leaves his girlfriend back in Mumbai. Hence, lastly we couldn’t help but ask when he plans to get engaged to his girl and he said, “We will get engaged but not this soon.” Interestingly, a year ago in an interview the actor had mentioned that he was planning to get engaged to her really soon.
