MUMBAI: After entertaining the viewers with a gripping tale, Star Plus’ Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke has gone off-air. Bankrolled by producer Rajan Shahi, the show featured Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma in the lead roles and aired its last episode on 17 October.

Although the show won the hearts of the viewers, it was struggling with TRP post lockdown and after a slot change and hence, an amicable decision was reached to pull the plug off the show.

Actor Avinash Mishra, who replaced Ritvik Arora to play the parallel lead sometime ago, considers the show as a great opportunity. He told us, “Well, the off-air news was shocking for all of us. Though, my stint was short but I don’t regret the decision of taking up the show. I received great love from viewers in these few months. Getting a show amid the pandemic itself was a blessing. I consider it as a great opportunity and enjoyed working with Rajan sir and the entire team of Yeh Rishtey. After doing so many shows Yeh Rishtey’s experience was very rare and enriching. The atmosphere on the sets was nothing less than a homely feeling. We all used to bond like a family. They never made me feel like a new member in the team. We are definitely missing shooting together but shall be in touch and have a long-time friendship ahead.”

All the best Avinash!
