Ravi Kissen who hosted Sai Baba Telefilms Sur Sangram, a song-based based reality show on Mahua channel will now judge its second season. He will also be seen hosting Raaz Pichle Janam Ka 2. TellyChakkar spoke to him about his reality shows, likings, Bollywood and Bhojpuri songs. You hosted the first season of Sur Sangram and you're judging it this season. Isn't it an added responsibility? Yes and I better be very careful. I shouldn't go wrong anywhere for if I go wrong I might choose the wrong people. For the guys who are coming here are very poor and some of the singers are coming for the first time to Mumbai. I am just hoping I do my job well. This show is a competition between Bihar and UP and you are from UP. So who are you going to support? I am going to support real talent. For me the state does not matter. I don't even believe in caste system. My surname is Shukla but I do not use it I just use Ravi Kissen. So, for me caste and state do not make a difference. I believe we are all Indians and that's all that matters. We are going to see you in a new rock star look for this show. How do you manage to get a new look every time? I have to come up with new looks, if I don't people will get bored of me. I have done 155 movies and I need to give my audience a change. Every six months I too am bored of my own look! There is this rap culture that is making its way. Have you ever tried coming up with a Bhojpuri rap song? Yes, I keep doing this like in my recent movie I am working on a mixture of qawwali and trance music which is very rare in Bhojpuri songs. You have a co-judge on the show... Maliniji is very talented. Everybody around is very talented and I have an ear for music so I will do my best. You are also doing the second season of Raaz Pichle Janam Ka so what new are we going to get to see this season? A new Ravi Kissen in new style, with a lot of honesty and a lot of new and weird cases. We have started shooting for the show and also solving a few weird cases. We have also heard there are going to be many more celebrity contestants on the show? Yes. There are going to be a lot more celebrity contestants this time. And they have come with a number of serious problems. Are we going to see you in any Bollywood movie? Yes, I have Agent Vinod with Saif (Ali Khan) and Kareena (Kapoor); other than that I have the film Emotional Atyachar coming up. What do you usually do during your free time? I dance, I listen to music, in short, I go completely crazy. What are your hobbies? I like singing, dancing, working out, and playing with my dog. I also love spending time in my new house. So there are a lot of options. You said you like working out. Is that a reason to your fitness? I do a lot of jogging. I do not have dinner as I live more on salads and dal. I have a complete vegetarian diet and it helps a lot. Any more reality shows that we will get to see you in? Definitely for now it's Raaz Pichle Jaanam Ka 2. In fact every year I keep doing two reality shows.
