MUMBAI: TellyChakkar was the first to break the news about Nimrit Kaur and Mahir Pandhi quitting Choti Sarrdarni soon. The reason behind their exit is yet to be known, and we haven't received any clarity either.

There were reports about actor Salman Shaikh being in talks for the project. However, things did not materialize and Salman is all set to re-enter Sasural Simar Ka 2.

On re-entering the show, Salman told us, “I will continue to play the character of Devesh. Simar's sister Reema has created an issue with Devesh, and he is planning on taking his revenge.”

Were you disappointed when things didn't work out for Choti Sardaarni? “Yes, of course, because I've been working for the past 7 years and the chance to play the lead was very exciting. And the fact that it didn't work out was indeed disheartening for me. But then it's a part of life. I look forward to more opportunities in future.”

You're doing quite well on television, what's your take on it? “Yes I'm very grateful for the work I've got till now. I try to keep improving myself and enjoying my journey.”

What kind of roles do you wish to play? “I want to do a character similar to Ranbir Kapoor's character in Rockstar. His character arc is so inspiring and the character's journey is so good. I would love to play a character similar to it.”
