She is the lastest addition in the list of Sahara One's 'strong willed, independent women' lineup! Niyati Joshi will play the lead in Sahara One's Suno..Harr Dill Kuchh Kehtaa Hai which will hit the airwaves on 10 April. The actor's all set to play a character whos' sure to be an object of envy for many women all over the world! Wondering why??? Read on as she speaks to Ananya Sengupta in her first interview after bagging the show.

"I can read the minds of men!"

Well, I play this girl called Ambika who has the gift of reading the minds of men! It's a very intersting character, scary sometimes, but sometimes very necessary! I am thoroughly enjoying doing the show. Ambika has a positive attitude and is very bubbly, full of life! But the show is not a comedy, it's a mix of different genres

"They had offered me the show two months back"

I was offered the role two months back when I was participating in the Femina contest. Then I gave a look test and they thought that I suited the character well! That is how I got the character.

" I am enjoying my 'main lead' status"

I am shooting back to back episodes and life's very hectic, but I am enjoying every bit of it. I am very comfortable on the sets and am learning a lot! It's a comfortable setup! I am having a great time as the lead.

"I was always interested in television"

I have done shows like Sahara's Kuch Love Kuch Masti and Sony's Ek Ladki Anjaani Si. I was always interested in television!

"I was really scared during my first shot!"
The entire cast is so experienced that I was really scared! But Prachi (Shah) made me really comfortable. The day I first shot with her she made me feel like her younger sister.

"Saas bahu stories are boring!"

I don't watch too much of television, but I don't think I would watch a saaas-bahu show. They are boring. Maybe I'd watch something like Lipstick!

"I miss my friends"

I miss all my friends in Pune. I had shifted to Mumbai one and a half years back! But I keep in touch with them over the phone! I stay here with three of my friends!

"It's a myth that models can't act"

When people talk about models that they can't act, they are just looking for masala
where there isn't! It's all rubbish!
