Post Karan Singh Grover and Raquesh Vashisht, you have been charming the audience with some enigmatic performance in Qubool Hai. How has the response been according to you?

A producer lays complete trust in an actor that he will make the show a hit before roping him in. Keeping in mind the responsibility I think I have managed to garner quite an impressive viewership and fan base for the show. For me personally, I am constantly on the lookout for roles which are distinguished and I am very particular about the look of my character. Given the look and personality I carry, I know what character would suit me the best. It’s important to justify my acting abilities.

Tell us something about the idea of replacing Karan Singh Grover on the show and the rapport you share with him off screen?

Well, I generally do not prefer roles where I have to replace somebody but the character offered to me was a completely different one. So there was no replacement here. With regards to Karan Singh Grover, we share a good cordial relationship with each other.

And your bonding with co-star Surbhi Jyoti…

I am very mischievous by nature and Surbhi is very fun loving, we gel very well.

Moving away from that, you have been a part of Khatron Ke Khiladi. How was your experience shooting for the show?

I had a fantastic experience shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi. It was great fun and was something amazing I couldn’t have missed.

You have been seen in Punjabi cinema and have grown very popular with the masses. Any chances of watching you on the 70mm Bollywood screen?

Yes, there is something but it is a bit early to talk about it. I shall open up in a month or so.
