I want to date all my co-stars! : Sanaya Irani

Sanaya Irani
Sanaya Irani is a familiar face on television. She began as a model and then moved on to television shows. Her first serial was Left Right Left on SAB TV, in which she played Sameera which she followed it up with Radha Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengee. At present, she is seen as Gunjan in Miley Jab Hum Tum on Star One. She has also played friend (Bobo) to Kajol in the Aamir Khan film, Fanaa. She talks to TellyChakkar about her show, co-stars, an ideal date and an ideal life partner People recognize you more as Gunjan…Comment It feels good that way. There is so much of hard work that is put in making these characters and unlike in movies, we keep playing the same role for a long period of time on TV. Is Sanaya like Gunjan? No. Sanaya is nothing like Gunjan and she can never be like her. Then tell us something about Sanaya? Sanaya is exactly opposite of Gunjan. Gunjan comes from a small town and she is very quiet, reserved and nervous. But I am full of life, very confident and I enjoy every moment of life. Do you like wild sports? Would you like to go out sky diving? Yes, I love sports like when I go to Goa, I go around, take a ride in a banana boat and do all the crazy things available there. But I haven’t sky dived yet, but would love to. Do your co-stars play pranks on you on the sets of Miley Jab Hum Tum? Yes, they do it all the time. I am afraid of things like cockroaches, lizards and rats, so they keep getting these things in front of me. I get scared really fast so these also keep tapping me from behind or do some or the other thing to frighten me. Were you a prankster in school? I have a very bad memory so I do not remember much but I am sure I must have played a prank. Don’t you remember any favourite part from your childhood? I remember I used to study in this boarding in Ooty and that is the most favourite part of my childhood. There is this thrill of being by yourself, doing things on your own. It was fun. Who was your first crush? When I was in Class 5, I liked a guy for the first time in my life. But, by the time I entered Class 6, I started hating boys. I found them stupid, immature, difficult to be with and this continued till I came back to Mumbai from Ooty. I was anti-boy till then! What is your idea of a perfect date? I would like it to be private, just him and me. It can be very simple yet a cute set up. Good food is essential as I am a big foodie. A candle light dinner in short and the most important thing I should have good company (laughs). What would you want your partner to be like? He can be a simple guy but he should be honest because I hate liars. Even when my friends lie I force them to say the truth. I think with honesty comes loyalty and the rest of it just follows. Other things that I would look out for are he should be good looking and fun loving. He should be a lot livelier than me for when I am low on spirits, he can lift me up. How is your tuning with your co-stars on the sets of Miley Jab Hum Tum? I want to date all my co-stars (laughs). Actually Mohit and Arjun are very good friends other than just being co-stars. We hang out together, party together, but the unfortunate part is that people tend to link us because we are also stars. When Rati (Nupur) left the show, how did you feel? We worked together for two years and it was obviously a very sad thing that happened. All of us felt bad about it. There is a buzz that Rati might make it back on the show soon. How true is it? I do not know about it. Rati and I aren’t in touch as we weren’t friends. She was just a co-actor.
