It came as shocker for Bigg Boss 5 fans when Shakti Kapoor became the fourth contestant to get eliminated from the house last week. The actor, who rose to fame for his acting skills and the casting couch controversy, enjoyed his time in the house, but is relieved to be out of the show.

In an interview with Tellychakkar.com, Shakti talked about his experience in Bigg Boss, his friends in the house, future plans, and more. Excerpts:

Were you shocked at being eliminated?

I was not shocked, but the entire country was. I am happy that I am out of that house. I think I got out at the right time. Tamasha din bar din badh raha tha. I have realized that only those who abuse, shout, and create controversies are fit to stay in the house. After coming out, I have received an overwhelming response from the media.

Why do you think you were eliminated?

Mera payment bahut zyaada hain... aur channel mujhe pay karna nahin
chahta hain…is liye mujhe nikala gaya
. Whatever be it, I am happy that I am out.

Can you tell me the figure you were being paid?

No, I have a contract which forbids me from disclosing my payment and payment terms.

How was your overall experience?

It was good. I had lot of fun. Other contestants respected me a lot. I became the captain for two weeks and performed a lot of interesting tasks. Overall it was nice but I think I was evicted as I refrained from abusing, shouting or creating controversies in the house.

How did you feel being the only male contestant amongst 13 female contestants initially?

I was shocked. I didn’t know about the channel’s ploy. I think it was a wrong move on their part. Shakti Kapoor is no more 21 or 22 year old who will woo and flirt with women. If they wanted masala they should have called a hot hunk like John Abraham or Tom Cruise. Why choose me? But I got a space of my own in the house and managed to calm my senses. Gradually things got settled.

Pooja Bedi accused you of being a flirt, a bad husband, a bad father, and a bad friend. Your comments…

Pooja said all these things behind my back. I saw the footage after coming out of the house. But I think she was under a lot of pressure and influence. Conditions are not that easy in the house. So, I hold no grudges against her. God bless her.

With whom did you bond in the house?

I gelled really well with the young boy, VJ Siddharth. He is a nice kid. Before coming out I told him to be more vocal if he wants to survive in the game.

Given a chance, will you go back to the house?

If they pay me five times more (laughs). But I don’t think that’s going to happen.

What next?

I will get back to doing what I am best at, acting. I will take a week’s off and then begin shooting. There are many films in the pipeline.
