Tell us about your Nach Baliye experience. Did you feel bad about your oyster from the show at a time when you as a Jodi were doing so well?

I am not sorry about going out as we went out with a lot of respect and the judges cried for us tremendously. Frankly I never thought we would be able to go beyond the second episode; considering we were non dancers on the show. Also we always knew that we were low on public vote, so we survived so far only because of our points and tremendous hard work. I've never ever worked so hard and don't think will do so ever for any show in the future. It's been an experience of a lifetime for all of us.

Also what was your reaction to the SMS controversy during Nach Baliye2?

I think the entire episode was blown out of proportion by all. I woke up to the news as much as the rest of the public and was quite shocked. We had distributed sim cards to our family and friends. But in the end, one doesn't know who itches to do what to malign ones name and leak the issue. However, they shouldn't have called us cheaters and we are not guilty of anything and it doesn't bother me anymore.

Post Nach Baliye2 you have Sohni Mahiwal in your kitty. What made you sign up the comedy show?

Varun and me had shot the pilot about three years back. About four months back we got a call from UTV to start shooting for Sohni Mahiwal. In the comedy show, I play a typical Punjabi housewife who is very na?ve, gullible, cute, dominating and a fighter cock at the same time. In spite of a nice chemistry with her husband, she keeps having regular fights with him. What is interesting is that each episode is different and fun to shoot.

You were offered roles by Ekta so what happened to that?

I was offered two roles by Balaji but I was so tied up with NB 2 that I couldn't take up any other show. I'd only shoot for Sohni Mahiwal which is a weekly and host Current Bollywood but I may take up something next year. Also this month, I'd be busy rehearsing for Nach Baliye's finale.

What kind of roles are you looking forward to now?

I enjoy doing comedy shows like Sohni Mahiwal. Each episode has a different story to tell so one doesn't get bored. I've tried doing positive roles but I find them to be too boring and too good to be true. I'd like to continue to experiment with negative roles in the future.

So what are you looking forward to now?

Manav and me are going for a three weeks vacation to the US and Canada end of December. My house is still under renovation which stopped because we had no time to look into the details so till March that's also a priority. I also did an untitled children's film (directed by Jayant and produced by Percept Pictures) with Manav wherein I did a cameo.
