The 'Siddhanth' episode featuring noted lawyer Ram Jethmalani will be telecast on Star One on 9 February. The scene featuring him, where he counsels protagonist Siddanth, was shot last Saturday in his office at Nariman point in downtown Mumbai. Jethmalani gets to play his own legal self in the serial, for just one episode. Prashant Golecha caught up with him for a few minutes for a brief chat before the shoot. How do you feel appearing in front of the camera, that too for a fiction show? A lawyer acts all his life. I am just appearing in one episode, in one scene. It’s not that I intend to start a career in acting. Are you nervous? Not at all. The people who want me to act should be nervous. Nowadays, serials give a lot of importance to lawyers and the legal profession, don't they? I haven’t noticed that. I only sense the importance of 'Siddhanth' as I am appearing in it! (laughs) How did you decide to be a part of this episode? It’s just that two of my friends called and requested me to appear in a scene or two, and I agreed. If this scene clicks, are you agreeable to taking up more TV work? I am not looking for any success. I don’t watch TV serials. I am settling my accounts with God.
