Dashing and handsome Sharad Kelkar, popular for his roles in Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar and Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, have also featured in films like 1920: The Evil Returns, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Marathi film Lai Bhaari.

Now he is awaiting the release of ‘Hero’, which will hit the screens on September 11. But before that, he will be seen as a CBI officer in &TV’s new show Agent Raghav – Crime Branch, which will go on floor on September 5.

My mind is my weapon

I believe that in real life too, I am quite observant. I feel I have a sixth season and I think my mind is my weapon. I like observing people, and I think I can read them. I get very strong vibes about things and people, and mostly they are right.

I won't ever over-commit to anyone for money

My films were on floors, and I won't ever over-commit. As, I have seen people first taking up something, then two, three months later, they say they can't do it. This becomes a major loss for the producers as there is so much money involved in everything. An actor should not take up assignments for so much money that he can't do justice to every role. So, I won't ever over-commit to anyone for money.

I took advice from my friends

I have a lot of friends who are into police or crime branch so I have seen them and learned how they react to a particular situation. They also advised me for this particular character. I also discussed with my creative team.

I wish females watch our show more

There are a lot of kids who get attracted to crime show but I wish females watch our show more than kids. Most of the shows are been watched by females and we have such hot actors too in the series.

I don’t want to do the same thing again and again

One thing that is different about the show is the way it is being portrayed and the hero of course (laughs). Before taking up this show I just thought one thing that I don’t want to do the same thing again and again. I think an actor’s growth stops if he keeps on taking the same kind of role. I made up my mind that I will only take money and learn and not give and learn.

My daughter calls me papa 15-20 times in a day

As a father and daughter bond is always special so I love spending time with my daughter. She says papa for at least 15 to 20 times in a day so I wish to spend more and more time with my daughter.

I can proudly say that I have two 100 crore club movies

I have dubbed for Bahubali and now I can proudly say that I have two 100 crore club movies that is Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Bahubali (laugh).
