Bigg Boss 3 winner Vindu Dara Singh's career has definitely got a new lease of life post-the reality show. He will soon be seen judging children’s dance reality show Chak Dhoom Dhoom on Colors. TellyChakkar spoke to Singh on his new show How has your life changed? It has changed 360 degrees. People treat me differently than they used to earlier. I feel I am some sort of VIP. I never thought that after doing Bigg Boss things would change for me. I was myself on the show and I thank the viewers for supporting me and liking me the way I am. And professionally? I have been flooded with many film offers. Directors like David Dhawan told me he is writing a role for me, so what more I could have asked for. It is a big compliment for me. I am doing Sajid Nadiadwala's next film. And one more film for which I am really excited is Guddu Dhanoa's first Punjabi film. I wanted to play a villain in it but he convinced me saying that people from Punjab are crazy about me and they want to see me as a hero. This is for the first time I am playing a hero! What is your family's reaction to all this? They are happy for me, especially my mother who cannot contain her happiness. All my friends who never kept any contact with me for the past so many years have been calling me up to congratulate. It feels great. My father was shocked to see me crying frequently in the show. When I met him I explained the entire situation to him. Otherwise my wife and friends were aware about why am I crying and they too cried with me, as they know me very well. Have things changed for your wife and daughter as well? Their life has not changed much, they are living their life as before. I spent three months away from them and after coming back I promised them a trip to Europe. They have just left but though my ticket and everything was ready I could not go with them due to my show. They were bit upset but I have convinced them saying that I will surely go with them to some other destination. Tell us something about your new show I am judging it with Ahmed Khan and Saroj Khan. Now I understood how much hard work goes in to making any reality show. We are starting auditions from next month in various parts of India but the shooting will take some more months. Will you be a strict judge? I will not mess with the kids for sure. I know they are very sensitive and I can understand their psyche well since I too have a small daughter. Our show will not have very small kids though, they would be around 14 years old. Nowadays, teenagers are as mature as us! So it will not be a big issue. I have decided I will not hurt them and I will also not be tough on them. I think I will do a good job. How will you balance your films and this show? I have just shot for the promos and it will take some time for us to shoot the show. In between the auditions I will be able to take out some time for my films as I will mostly start shooting for them next month. What will be your judging criteria? I don't think judging is difficult. I have been to a few dance competitions as a judge recently and I was quite confused about whom to select and whom not to. However I will look for confidence, dancing skills and the efforts the child has put in a particular performance. I will try my best to select a deserving kid, it is a big responsibility. Sarojji and Ahmad are experts in it so they will help me in this. I will also try to encourage kids who fail to make it in the final; I will tell them it's not the end of their lives. How was your first interaction with Saroj Khan and Ahmad Khan? I know Sarojji, I have worked with her. Ahmad is young and very nice too. I felt nice shooting with them. I think it would be fun to sit there and judge together. What kind of chemistry will you have with Pravesh Rana? He is hosting the show so right now we share a calm relation, hope it continues that way. If he says something dangerous on the stage and if it gets bitter then I might go crazy. But I guess he will not do that and we will be cordial with each other.
