We feel that life without poetry would be incomplete…your thoughts?

You are absolutely right. I can’t imagine a life without shero shayaris.

Do you have interest in poetry and shayari?

Yes. I do read romantic poems. It makes my heart warm.

Has anyone written or recited a poem or shayari to profess their love to you?

Many of them (laughs). It’s a very sweet gesture. 

In this day and age – where people have lost interest in poetry and that kind of romance, how do you stay connected to shayari/poetry?

I think internet helps and also mobile apps. 

Who is your favorite shayar or poet?

There are many but in today’s time Javed Akhtar and Gulzar are the best. 

Did you know that Tata Sky & Javed Akhtar saab have recently launched Actve Javed Akhtar service on Tata Sky to bring back the golden era of poetry? Your comments on it?

Yes, it is a great concept and such shows should be encouraged. Such initiatives are educative and entertaining at the same time. 

Poetry is considered as the art of conveying what the heart feels? You express with your heart or mind?

I am a completely ‘hearty’ person.

Javed Akhtar is a magician with the pen. Any favourite song or poem of his you remember/like?

I think all his poems and songs are beautiful.
