We have all heard about the much loved Vrinda Dawda giving tips on fashion and health. With her much awaited return on Channel V’s Dil Dostii Dance and currently cast in Sahara One’s Haunted Nights, an elated Vrinda talks to Tellychakkar.com giving us tips on investment. How important is money to you? Money is extremely important and especially people who are from middle-class know of its true value more than the upper class. Are you an impulsive buyer? Not really. When I was a teenager I used to splurge a little, but as of now I have a huge control on my expenses. What are the investments that you have made? I give most of my salary at home…and my family invests in FD and other investments…Apart from this I have separate savings in my account of which I dream to buy a car. I think I shall fulfill my dream this month. What has been your most expensive purchase? A Blackberry Bold 4 that I gifted my brother on his birthday which cost me Rs. 34,000. Do you feel financially secure? Yes, I do feel financially secure. Who handles your expenses? I and my family. What was your first salary? It was a cheque of Rs. 3000 which I received from an outdoor shoot in Solapur when I was just 15. How much money do you carry every day? I carry between Rs. 500-800 along with my debit card. Your advice to new investors? Do not splurge. Saving is important!
