The leggy Nethra Raghuraman looks like a million bucks and works hard at maintaining her lissome figure. Get a deep insight into the fitness regime of the fit and fearless Nethra Raghuraman. My Fitness Mantra: I do a lot of cardio and weight. I don’t like to see flab on my body. Being thin or fat is a different thing and being toned is a different thing. I have a slim structure but I see to it that my body looks toned. I take a staircase rather than an elevator. Once, I rode a bicycle from Andheri to Bandra but I can’t do that often as riding a bicycle in Mumbai is dangerous. My Exercise Regime: I go to the gym regularly. Of late I have been slightly irregular with it but now I hope to hit the gym with the same frequency. My Diet: I consume a very little amount of butter and oil. I love to have puris and desserts but I have them in the right proportion. Being fit becomes easy for me as I am a vegetarian. I have a lot of proteins and less of carbohydrates. When I am on a weight losing spree, I cut carbs like rice, bread and eat only two chapattis a day. I eat a lot of veggies and that keeps my stomach full. My Gymming Tips: Never work out in the gym on an empty stomach. One gets maximum energy to work out when they have eaten properly. Do not overexert yourself. My Dancing Tips: Dancing is a lovely thing to do. It is a fun activity that can keep you fit. Around two years ago, I learnt Salsa, Cha-cha-cha and Zumba from Sandeep Soparkar. I wish to include dance in my day to day activity but all the dance classes have a group dancing format which I don’t prefer. So, there isn’t any dance happening in my life. Fitness Fads: There is a major misconception among people that they can eat as much as they want, yet lose weight by doing exercise. Along with exercising you need to control your diet to lose weight. My Favourite Hunks On TV: I don’t watch television at all. As Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar have been on television shows, I can put them as my favourite hunks on TV.
