She became a household name following her performance as Pooja Mehta in Sony’s Yeh Meri Life Hai around five years ago. She then did a film here and a TV show there before finally finding her calling as a fashion designer. Her brand Saisha was unveiled in 2010 and she has been aggressively marketing herself and her label since then.
On the anvil is the February 2012 edition of Lakme Fashion Week ich she is excitedly looking forward to being a part of.
We talked to Shama about her fashion mantras and came back with some interesting insights from the stylish gal. Read on:
What does fashion mean to you?
Comfort. I like wearing such clothes that bring a smile on people’s faces.
Who chooses your clothes?
Myself. I never trust anybody else when it comes to clothes.
Do you wear accessories?
I used to wear earrings a lot. I still do, but now-a-days it is just a watch that I prefer.
Are you a brand conscious person?
Indeed I am. The ones that get me going are Zara, Mango, Guess, Dolce and Gabana.
Your favourite shopping destination.
Undoubtedly, the United States of America.
What kind of clothes are you most comfortable in?
You will mostly see me in semi casuals.
Your most expensive purchase?
My Audemars Piguet watches.
