Fresh singing sensation, Indian Idol finalist Rahul Vaidya isn't exercising just those vocal chords these days. He found him pumping iron one day at the local gym, and the teenager coyly admitted that in this age of packaging, a fine toned body is as much a necessity as a fine tuned voice. He found him pumping iron one day at the local gym, and the teenager coyly admitted that in this age of packaging, a fine toned body is as much a necessity as a fine tuned voice. Here we capture some insights into his fitness regime and his diet regimen! What do you do to keep yourself fit? Eat less, diet and work out. Why are working out- to stay in shape or to lose weight? I want to lose weight as I feel I am a little fat. I am not working out to build my muscles. Which gym do you workout in? Sykz in Andheri. Do you do more of cardio or weight training? I do both on an equal basis. How many meals do you have in a day? I have a meal every three hours (laughs) What's more important to you - breakfast, lunch or dinner? Lunch is my most important meal. What does your lunch comprise of? Dal, roti, sabzi, rice. A typical Maharashtrian lunch. Are you on a strict diet? Not really. I eat anything and everything. What is your height and weight? My height is 5:8 and a half and my weight is 70kgs Does your profession take a toll on your health? It definitely does. I am very particular about my meals and when I am recording, I can't have them on proper time. And I am that kind of person who gets really irritated when there's no appropriate time management when it comes to food. How do you take out time for your fitness sessions? If I am staying in a hotel for my recording sessions, I workout in their gym. Any health drink you love? My protein shake and sometimes, I binge on carrot juice. Are you into any kind of Yoga or meditation? I know two types of yoga methods. One helps my breathing and the other my singing. Do you intend to do more yoga? Well I am just 18 and I just want to take it easy for now!
