Rakshanda Khan who will make a comeback with Ammaji Ki Galli as Parminder shares her gyaan on fashion.

Fashion is:
Fashion to me is comfort. I can’t let a fad or trends dictate what I wear or don’t wear. I can’t wear 6 inch heels and be uncomfortable all night just because it’s trendy.

Who chooses your clothes?
On a personal level I choose my own clothes. For a television show I like to sit with the stylist and choose a look. Sadly TV doesn’t give you the liberty to experiment a lot, so keeping the parameters in mind I like giving my inputs for every show of mine. It could even be anything as simple as a certain accessory that could become a style statement associated with my character.

Do you wear accessories?
Accessories are always add-ons to enhance a look, so I use them as and when they are required. Ideally I don’t like accessorising a look too much. It’s better to keep it simple and be understated than to bling it up to the extent where you end up looking like a Christmas tree.

Do you follow any brands?
Brands are good as long as they don’t start dictating to you. Why become a fashion victim and wear a brand that is not your style? Instead choose a brand because of the value they can add to your personality.

Favourite shopping destination:
Shopping is a great de-stressing activity and so should be indulged in frequently. I love the clothes and shoes available in New York and London. Leave me in a mall when it opens and pick me up only when its time for it to shut.

Most expensive buy:
My most expensive buy would include a few things because I believe in the adage that diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

Clothes you are comfortable in:
Jeans, jeans and more jeans, nothing in the world can beat their comfort level.

Favourite designer:
I have quite a few favourites - Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla for great and timeless Indian wear, Gavin Miguel and Swapnil Shinde for their gowns. I also like Gauri and Nayanika's style.

Must-have in your wallet:
Home keys and my credit cards.

Favourite perfume:
Anything that is sporty and not overly floral. I can’t stand strong smells essentially I prefer men’s colognes.

Colour that fills your wardrobe:
Like any sensible person who wants to hide all the not- so- flattering areas, a colour that dominates my wardrobe is black.
