Colors' latest offering Kavach is a rather interesting concept that mixes ancient practices with a modern twist.
The promo opens with a powerful voice-over that tells us about an old custom where a person who's died without achieving his love could come back to claim it. Phew!
While Mahek Chahal plays the 'witch', Mona Singh takes on the role of the wife who has to protect her husband aka the witch's love.
The special effects are thrilling and the concept is intriguing.
We just hope the leads do complete justice to their roles and not turn into caricatures...as is common in such themes.
We also like the background score and the makeup, which is subtle yet effective. Way to go, team!
When you watch the promo, you'll definitely be reminded of the story of Savitri who fought with Yamraj to bring her husband back to earth. Oh yeah, women are powerful and determined.
This show will aim to showcase the two sides of femininity- the one that can go to any extent to get what they want and the other that can go to any extent to protect those they love.
The show is set to air soon on Colors replacing Naagin.
