MUMBAI: After paying tribute to Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid, former cricketer VVS Laxman took to social media to talk about another legend. 

Today, the cricket commentator paid tribute to Javagal Srinath, who is considered among India's finest fast bowlers. 

While paying tribute to him, VVS Laxman mentioned that Javagal Srinath triggered a revolution in Indian pace bowling. ‘A tearaway fast bowler from a relative cricketing outpost of Mysore, Javagal Srinath triggered a revolution in Indian pace bowling,’ he wrote.

He further lauded his ability to respond to the team’s needs even in most unhelpful conditions. ‘Even in most unhelpful conditions,he always responded to the team’s needs with unflinching zeal. Sri’s strength was his hunger to perform under adverse conditions,’ he concluded.

As VVS Laxman shared the post on social media, netizens too started expressing their love for Javagal Srinath. Some social media users even pointed out that he is an underrated bowler and that he deserved more. 

‘Most underrated bowler... im surprised why people don't pick him in their all time playing – XI,’ wrote one fan. 

Others stated, ‘Srinath was the best fast bowler of India. He was the single fast bowler if that era from India whom opposition feared. So thrilled you mentioned his name. I feel strange that so many cricketers doesn't mention his contribution! He is the reason that Indian pace bowling got speed’, ‘One of the most underrated fast bowler...he deserved more than wat he got...,’ ‘He was brutally express speedster...though a very underrated indian pacer... @vvslaxman281’, among others. 

Javagal Srinath, who made his international debut in October 1991, won cricket freaks’ hearts with his cricketing skills.  His contribution in the world of cricket is immense and he was popularly called 'Mysore Express'. Needless to say, when VVS Laxman paid tribute to him, his loyal fans were overjoyed.
