MUMBAI : On the occasion of National Doctors' Day, cricketers VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, Mohammad Kaif, and Krunal Pandya took to social media to pay tribute to doctors.

National Doctors' Day is celebrated to thank medical professionals for their dedicated service. It is celebrated on 1st July each year.

VVS Laxman called the doctors the real superheroes who are not only risking their own health but are working tirelessly in fighting the (coronavirus) pandemic. “On the occasion of #NationalDoctorsDay let us salute and pay tribute to the real superheroes who are not only risking their own health but are working tirelessly in fighting the pandemic. To all our inspiring Doctor’s , a very happy doctor’s day,” read his note on social media.

Yuvraj Singh too thanked them for their commitment towards the society during these difficult times. He wrote on his social media account, “To our real heroes, thank you for your commitment to serve society, especially in these difficult times. We appreciate all your wonderful efforts. You are the embodiment of selflessness, compassion and love. #HappyDoctorsDay!”

While VVS Laxman and Yuvraj Singh called doctors real heroes, Mohammad Kaif called them angels. He wrote, “फ़रिश्तों को सलाम

#doctorsday.”

Krunal Pandya, on the other hand, thanked the doctors for helping him recover from his injuries throughout his career. He further thanked all the medical professionals who are battling the pandemic. “Grateful to Dr. Pardiwala and all the other doctors that have helped me recover from my injuries throughout my career A special mention to all the medical professionals battling the pandemic that we're fighting. You are the true heroes. #NationalDoctorsDay,” read his post on Instagram.
