There is no doubt that the bond shared between grandparents and grandchildren is one of the most adorable ones. While grandparents leave no stone unturned to pamper and adore their grandkids, there is one cricketer whose grandparents loved him so much that they went on to adopt him.
Any guesses who? Well, it’s none other than Gautam Gambhir. Yes, you read that right! For the uninitiated, the former cricketer was adopted by his grandparents.
Gambhir, who started playing cricket at the age of 10, was adopted by his grandparents eighteen days after his birth and lived with them ever since.
Eighteen days after he was born, his mother was discharged from the hospital. While on the way home, his mother stopped by at his grandparents’ home to show off her bundle of joy. His grandparents immediately took such a liking to him that they insisted he stay on.
