The title 'DIYA AUR BAATI HUM' vibrates on Number 40 – which is neither fortunate nor unfortunate. But the person it represents becomes self-contained, lonely and isolated from his/her fellows. So it is not a favorable number from a worldly or material point of view.
On the other side, the current year 2011 has been proving lucky for people, places, names, dates, etc adding up to Numbers 1, 2, 4 and 7. The show aired its first episode on August 29, 2011 which can be considered an auspicious beginning.
But all said and done, a long and consistent run of the show is ruled out after four months or so.
