14th #IndianTellyAwards: VOTE now - Best Daily Show

Best Daily Show

Daily soaps are our daily dose of entertainment. Whether they make us weep, fall in love or celebrate, the shows hold a special place in our heart. As we celebrate the glam brigade of TV, how can we not include the serials that make stars out of actors?

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein- Star Plus (Balaji Telefilms):
A love story that starts with a mother-daughter than a husband-wife is as unconventional as it can get. In this series, a child plays cupid. With its promising storyline and gifted actors, it is one of the epic TV shows on the small screen right now.

Saath Nibhana Saathiya- Star Plus (Rashmi Sharma Productions Pvt Ltd):
A poignant tale of love, sacrifice and family-bonding, this Star Plus hit has made believers out of us. Everybody wants a partner who would walk the whole nine yards, come what may…isn’t it?

Diya Aur Baati Hum- Star Plus (Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt Ltd):
What a husband does to fulfil his wife’s ambitions is the crux of this serial, woven with beautiful emotions and touching story-telling. In an age when women are fighting it out to be at par with men, this serial is the perfect staple to cement that stock. Agree?

Kumkum Bhagya- Zee TV (Balaji Telefilms):
Two contrasting sisters come together to help live their mother’s dream. With many ups and downs, both the sisters set out to achieve the unthinkable. They are indeed born with a kumkum bhagya (sacred luck).

Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi- Colors (Balaji Telefilms):
A passionate love affair, which slowly grows into obsession, before culminating into something scary and dark, this Colors’ flagship show has given us every flavour we could ask for. It also helps that the refreshing lead pair is an absolutely eye candy!

Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Prartap- Sony Entertainment Television (Contiloe):
Historical shows are a lesson in history with equal parts drama, romance and grandeur. Just when daily soaps were begging to wear us off, we have a high-octane warrior show.

Sasural Simar Ka- Colors (Rashmi Sharma Productions):
When two sisters are married off into the same family, they have to combine their wits together to survive. Fighting off evil factors and still maintaining a bond with their loved ones isn’t easy!
