How exciting would be the prospect of watching Anil Kapoor and Irrfan Khan sharing the same screen space on television? Exciting enough, we say for its been long since Irrfan has been seen in a television series. When Anil and Irrfan shared the stage at Johnnie Walker's event yesterday, and with the former talking about the next season of 24, we couldn't help but ask Anil if he would consider casting Irrfan in a pivotal role in season 2 (airing on Colors). "It would be a huge honour," started Anil before Irrfan interjected and said, "That's a great idea and I can also earn some money." The remark from Irrfan made Anil indulge in u turn. "If not in the second season, I will surely cast Irrfan in the third one," said Anil. The reply bemused Irrfan to no end. Reacting wittily to Anil's statement, Irrfan remarked, " I am available only for season 2." The message from Irrfan was looked loud and clear. Either now or never. Talking about the second season of 24, Anil said, "It was a big wager when I decided to bring this internationally renowned series to the Indian shores. And the gamble paid off well in the first season. I had committed myself to doing a second season when I had started filming the first one." Anil refused to reveal anything more about season 2.
