Looks like Sony is desperate to be back in the GEC race. Considering it has huge competition in the form of Star Plus, Colors and Zee breathing down its neck what with the channels spending mega bucks on getting bigger and brighter Bollywood stars to helm their shows, it's not surprising to hear a little bird chirp that Sony is now wooing another Khan, Aamir is the name, to host the fourth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. After their ambitious gamble with Rani Mukerjee in Dance Premier League and association with Yash Chopra, success has still been eluding Sony. And considering what KBC had done to Star’s fortunes, it is not surprising to know that Sony is gearing up to host its next edition. While the 'rumour' sounds too good to be true, with also Aamir’s debut on the small screen, it would also be interesting to see how Mr Idiot slips into the host's space once beautifully (and successfully) filled by Amitabh Bachchan and then Shah Rukh Khan. But we wonder if Khan has the time. Even if he does (considering he does one film at a time) he will take at least a year for prep work given his penchant for perfection. But all said and done, if Sony does manage to bring him in, it won't be nothing short of a wonderful miracle. And yes, hoping for Lady Luck to shine this time on the channel.
