Aashish Roy who was last seen doing a negative role on Zee's Chalti Ka Naam Gaddi is back after a long time on the small screen.
He now plays a doctor in Jasuben Jayantilal Joshi ki joint family.
"I'm essaying the role of Dr Sudhir who is a twittering fool. I was told that it's a cameo but I have no idea for how long this will last," says Aashish.
Elaborating on his character he explains, "I'm a very good friend of Purushottam (Paresh) in the show and a qualified doctor. Now in the current track it is shown that Purushottam is admitted to hospital for a heart attack. This is all a drama to delay Nandini's engagement with Pinakin (Krishna). He plans all this with me and in the coming episodes there is a lot more masala to add on it."
Talking about his character he says, "Sudhir is always tense and keeps goofing up. That's the reason his friend Purushottam thinks that I'm Sudha's (his wife) brother who was lost in the kumbh mela. It is a very funny character and I'm enjoying myself. For essaying this role I have learnt how to use injections, check BP, etc."
Audiences are so used to seeing the o-so-serious doctors it may be a good change to see a ha-ha doctor!
