MUMBAI: Shweta Tiwari's husband Abhinav Kohli is making headlines for the wrong reasons. On Sunday afternoon, Shweta lodged a police complaint against Abhinav for allegedly outraging her 19-year-old daughter Palak’s modesty. The teenager is Shweta’s daughter with her first husband, actor Raja Chaudhary.

Abhinav has been arrested by Samta Nagar Police on charges of ‘outraging a woman’s modesty, making sexually coloured remarks, assault, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace and criminal intimidation under the IPC, and sections of the Information Technology Act.' However, Abhinav's mother stated that there is no truth to the allegations. Speaking to India Forums about the allegations, Abhinav's mother, Poonam Kohli revealed how she does not know what has happened but her son is innocent. She did add that Shweta wanted a divorce and Abhinav did not because he wanted their son to get the love of both his parents. While the divorce reports do come across as a piece of news, his mother also added while talking about the sexual harassment allegations against his stepdaughter, she said how will he do such a thing and also remarked how he has seen her grow up.

His mother also went on to add how when Shweta was away for three months for Bigg Boss Season 4, he was the one who took care of her and did everything for her. She went on to question how he would do something like that. She added she does not know why is Shweta doing this but her son is innocent.
