MUMBAI: Abhinav Shukla and Rubina Dilaik are one of the most popular celebrity couples. They were recently seen in Bigg Boss 14. While Abhinav managed to garner much love and appreciation during his stint on the show, Rubina went on to win the trophy.  

Abhinav made an exit during a surprise elimination held by Bigg Boss, which took almost everyone including his fans in shock. Many expected that Abhinav would make it to the finals. However, due to the lack of votes, he had to make an exit from the BB 14 house. During his stay in the house, Abhinav made it to the headlines because of Rakhi Sawant’s constant antics surrounding him. One such incident where Rakhi pulled the string of Abhinav’s shorts left the latter enraged.

During an interview with ETimes, Abhinav Shukla opened up about Rakhi Sawant’s shorts string pulling incident and wife Rubina Dilaik’s reaction to it. The actor revealed how Rubina and his bond got much closer after the incident. 

“It was a violation of my personal space. It was not cool. Whatever happened after that was shown, nothing was edited pre or post,” Abhinav said. Moving forward, when Abhinav was asked if he felt happy or proud that his wife jumped into the situation and told Rakhi to ‘Lay off’, Shukla reacted and said, “Yes.” He revealed he felt proud that Rubina stood by him. He added, “It became an instinctive response that thereafter we'll watch each other's back. Thanks to the other contenders (smiles).” Later, when asked if that particular incident brought Rubina and him closer, Abhinav Shukla responded and answered, “Absolutely. It gave me a sense of belonging.”
